Abstract
|
|
|
A Survey of immune antibodies has been carried out in 1976.
The antibody titration of syphilis (1002 specimens) and diphtheria(77 specimens) was studied´ on the gynecologic and obstetric patients who did not complain of the above infections, and. the following results were obtained.
1. The protective unit from infection as an antitoxin titer of diphtheria was present higher-than 0.01 I.U. in 98.7% of the patients.
The lower titer than 0.01 I. U. was noticed in 1.3% of the group.
2. The antibody titer of diphtheria ranging from 0.1 to 0.5 I.U. was most prevalent in the-positive patients regardless of the age.
3. The qualitative analysis of syphilis antibody revealed weak positivity in 1.2% (12 cases) and moderate positivity in 1.1% (11 cases) of the patients.
4. The quantitative analysis of syphilis antibody -on the 23 qualitatively positive cases showed 1 dilution in 5 cases, 2 dilution in 3 cases and 8 dilution in 2 cases.
5. The age group between 36 and 40 years showed the most prevalent incidence in the positivity of the syphilis antibody titration.
